FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I start my class?
Once you have purchased a class of your choice you will be able to download an e-book right away which will be your class workbook.  (Some classes have accompanying material to download.)   A receipt is sent to the e-mail address you listed, and you are ready to start your class!

How do I turn in my assignments?

You will email each assignment you complete which needs to have your full name and STARS ID number at the top.  Please put your assignment number on the subject line and email to: 

starsclassesmerit@gmail.com  The final assignment is completed by clicking a link to the course evaluation and filling it out.

How do I know my assignment passed?

You will receive a certificate of completion via email when your coursework has been reviewed.  If your assignment is incomplete or incorrect (below 70%). You will be allowed to re-do your work and submit a corrected version.  

Do I need to wait between assignments?

NO – please do not wait, continue on completing as many assignments as you like. There will be time to make corrections if needed. We send out a final review once all assignments are in.

How much time do I have to complete my class?

All classes must be completed by Dec 31 of the year you purchased the class.

How soon will my STARS hours show up in my MERIT records?

Once your class is completed the total hours for your class (10 hours) will be recorded in your MERIT file. This should show up within one week after your class is finished and you have received your Certificate.  At that point, you may apply for reimbursement from DCYF.

Our Refund Policy:

If you are dissatisfied for any reason within the first 30 days and before you complete your course, a full refund will be honored.
